How many courses are considered full-time?

Students taking nine credits in each the Fall and Spring terms (3 classes per semester) are considered enrolled full-time.

Can I attend this program part-time?

Our program is flexible with part-time and full-time enrollment available. The majority of our students are full-time. They work during the day and come to school in the evening. We do have a few part-time students in the program, approximately 5%.

Is the program fully online?

No. We offer face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses (which are a combination of online and face-to-face instruction). Most of our classes are delivered in a face-to-face format.

When are classes offered?

Classes are offered during the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer terms. The 15-week Fall and Spring courses meet once a week and are scheduled during the evening, typically at 4:30pm or later, to support working students. Winter and Summer classes have a different schedule because they are shorter terms.

What is the typical class size?

Our class sizes vary. Track-specific courses, such as Foundations of School Counseling, are smaller and have 5-15 students, while core classes, such as Theories of Counseling, may have 20-25 students in the class.

What are my counselor education options?

Two tracks are available: School Counseling (48 credits) and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (60 credits). Note, we do not offer dual-track enrollment.
